Today, on our way home, we stopped in Pinjarra, Western Australia, a town with a surprising amount of character considering its size. We've been traversing many kilometres lately, and it was time for a respite.

The main street of Pinjarra offers a charming blend of old and new, and we were immediately drawn to a quirky little cafe called Jarra Infusion. The sign promised gluten-free, vegan, keto, paleo, and vegetarian options – quite the comprehensive list! We figured it was worth investigating, even if just for the sheer novelty of finding such a diverse menu in what appeared to be a very traditional town.

Walking along the main thoroughfare, we took a closer look at the cafe as we approached. The colourful signage and outdoor seating gave off a welcoming vibe, despite the overcast sky. It was precisely the sort of quirky establishment we are always on the lookout for, and in general, we find we get the best coffee from places like it.

We decided to take a peek at the detailed list of options before committing to sitting down. The banner outside the café highlighted the cafe's commitment to diverse dietary needs.

Inside, the atmosphere was just as eclectic as the exterior suggested. Comfortable couches mingled with more traditional cafe tables, creating a relaxed and inviting space. We decided to treat ourselves to a shared afternoon tea, opting for a blueberry muffin and a slice of lemon and coconut cake. The tea was, thankfully, brewed properly, and the cakes were delicious. A welcome change from our usual camp fare, we must say.

Pinjarra itself seems to be steeped in history, and we intend to explore a bit more tomorrow. But for today, the simple pleasure of a decent cup of tea and a tasty treat was exactly what we needed. We are already curious to see what other hidden gems we might find in this surprising town.
