Our sojourn in Albany has drawn to a close, and it’s time for us to bid adieu to the Tasman Holiday Parks - Albany.

We found our stay to be quite pleasant overall, a testament to the well-maintained grounds despite their age. If we were to return, and that’s certainly not off the cards, we'd definitely consider paying the slight premium, perhaps $10 or $15, for one of the ensuite sites. The convenience of having our own facilities makes quite a difference, even for seasoned travellers like ourselves.
One of the things we particularly appreciated was the generous size of the bays. They were drive-through, which made for easy manoeuvring - a feature that is always welcome. In our opinion, the layout was also one of the best we have seen for caravan parks.

The clever angle allowed us to avoid staring directly at the side of our neighbour's van, and instead we could enjoy a view past the back of their setup. Little details like that can make a big difference to the overall feeling of privacy and space.
While the park is undoubtedly showing its age in some areas – the concrete pads, in particular, could certainly benefit from some updating – the overall impression was a positive one. The landscaping was well-tended, and the communal facilities, including the pool, appeared clean and inviting, although we didn't actually use it ourselves; the weather wasn't conducive.

Taking all factors into consideration, from the friendly staff to the comfortable amenities and the spacious bays, we are happy to give Tasman Holiday Parks - Albany a well-deserved:
