After our historical explorations this morning, a rumbling in our stomachs reminded us that sustenance was required. Thus, we found ourselves drawn to the Three Anchors for lunch.

The menu offered a decent selection of familiar fare, and we settled on dishes that promised to replenish our energy for the afternoon's activities. The portions were generous, which is always appreciated when one has been traipsing around historical sites all morning.

With lunch successfully consumed, we decided to take advantage of the coastal location and meander along the Ellen Cove Boardwalk. The gentle sea breeze and relatively flat terrain provided a welcome respite after the morning's more strenuous explorations.

The boardwalk winds its way along the coastline, offering pleasant views of the bay and the surrounding landscape. Even on a slightly overcast day, the scenery was quite agreeable.

We found the rhythmic sound of the waves to be quite soothing, a pleasant contrast to the sometimes-overwhelming nature of historical tourism.

Our amble along the boardwalk wasn't entirely devoid of historical significance. We encountered a bust, presumably commemorating a figure of local importance.

While we confess that we didn't dedicate an excessive amount of time to deciphering the inscription at its base (our legs were getting tired again), we acknowledged the historical connection and continued our stroll. Overall, the boardwalk provided a pleasant and relaxing way to round off our day in Albany. We returned to our accommodation feeling refreshed and ready for whatever tomorrow might bring.
