The sunrise at Venus Bay demanded our attention this morning. We had planned on a quick pack-up and departure, eager to continue our journey westward, but nature had other plans.

The sky was ablaze with hues of orange and red, reflecting perfectly on the tranquil waters of the bay. It would have been a crime to simply ignore such a spectacle.
The vibrant colours stretched across the horizon, turning the small boat moored near the shore into a silhouette against the fiery backdrop. It was the kind of view that reminds us why we subject ourselves to the rigours of life on the road. After a few moments of peaceful contemplation, we turned to the task of preparing for the next leg of our journey. The sight of Venus Bay at sunrise will stick with us, no question. We made the coffee, hit the road, and headed further westward toward home.
