We arrived at Venus Bay, South Australia. It was surprisingly busy for this time of year. In our years of travel, we've learned the value of planning, but sometimes spontaneity reigns. This time, we hadn't booked ahead at the Venus Bay Caravan Park.

As luck would have it, they had a spot available, a fortunate turn of events indeed, given how full the park appeared.
We spent the afternoon exploring the local scenery. The bay itself is quite picturesque. The tide was out, exposing a wide stretch of sandy beach perfect for a stroll.

The water was calm, and the sky was a brilliant blue, dotted with fluffy white clouds. It was the kind of scene that just begs for a photograph. The views out over the bay towards the ocean were expansive and inviting.
Venus Bay seems to have a thriving little community. There's a palpable energy in the air; everyone is out enjoying the coastline. We were happy to have found a place and spent the afternoon relaxing and taking in the local sights.
