We found ourselves waking before dawn, an unusual feat for a pair of dedicated retirees, but the promise of the sunrise at Woolshed Cave was too tempting to resist.

The air was crisp, the kind that nips at your ears and reminds you why a good beanie is essential travel gear.
The walk to the cave was fairly easy. The path was well-worn and, even in the pre-dawn gloom, we could make out the way. The view was worth every step. The coastline here is simply spectacular; the rugged cliffs meet the ocean with dramatic flair. The waves crash against the rocks, creating a symphony of sound that's both calming and invigorating. We watched the sun peek over the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. If there's a better way to start the day, we certainly haven't found it yet.
After the sunrise spectacle, it was back to camp to pack up. As much as we enjoyed the Woolshed Cave's, Venus Bay beckoned.

One last look at the vast expanse of the ocean as we drove away, feeling refreshed and ready for our next adventure, was enough to remind us to cherish these moments. Of course, we needed to reward ourselves with a decent coffee, but a stunning view always makes the experience even better.
