Woolshed Cave, within the District Council of Elliston, South Australia, was slated to be our next camp.

There's one thing that has become a bit of a blight on modern camping, called "ghost camping."
We went online to book this particular site and found that for the two nights we were booking, only a single site was left available. For those two nights, we were virtually alone at the campground, except for one other camper the first night and two the second. Considering there are nine bays available, and they had all been booked by others who simply didn't show up or cancelled their booking without informing the authorities, it seemed a colossal waste. It's a phenomenon that really needs addressing; it prevents genuine campers from enjoying these beautiful spots.
However, we did thoroughly enjoy our time at Woolshed Cave, despite the phantom occupants. The rugged coastal scenery is spectacular.

The wooden walkway down to the rocky shore provides easy access, though we did take our time navigating the steps.

The tides carved interesting formations into the coastal landscape, resulting in several places to wander along the shore, looking into small inlets and bays.

We took great pleasure in exploring the rocky ledges, watching the waves crash around the weathered stone.

The interplay of the blue water and the red rock formations made for some remarkable views.
