Cape Jervis, South Australia, presented us with a blend of the industrial and the idyllic. The main draw for many is, of course, the ferry terminal, the gateway to Kangaroo Island.

We found the area bustling, with activity focused on the comings and goings of the SeaLink ferry. Two large cranes were hard at work near the terminal, no doubt part of ongoing maintenance or upgrades. It's a hive of activity.
Beyond the ferry terminal, Cape Jervis revealed its quieter side. The beaches, while not teeming with people, offered a sense of peaceful isolation.

We noticed a few solitary figures strolling along the expansive sands, enjoying the rhythm of the waves. The water was crisp and clear, reflecting the bright Australian sky. It’s hard to resist a long walk here.
Venturing further along the coast, we were struck by the dramatic cliffs and rocky outcrops that define the landscape.

We saw a scattering of small boats bobbing gently in the shallows, adding a touch of nautical charm to the scene. A long jetty extends into the sea. It’s a place of rugged beauty, where the land meets the ocean in a rather spectacular fashion. Cape Jervis offers both practical transport links and stunning natural landscapes.
