We confess, we have a weakness for these oversized roadside attractions. Call it a tourist trap if you like, but we find them utterly charming in their own bizarre way. And besides, what's a road trip without a few unexpected detours and photo opportunities?

This particular crustacean, "Larry the Lobster," dominates the landscape. It's not just large; it’s aggressively, unapologetically massive. Honestly, it appears capable of scuttling off toward the coast at any moment, intent on pinching unsuspecting seagulls. The sheer scale of the thing is impressive. The engineers really went all-in with the details.

We pondered the sheer audacity of deciding to erect such a monument. What conversation led to this? Was it a spur-of-the-moment decision over a few pints, or a meticulously planned civic project? We may never know, but we are certainly appreciative. It certainly gave us something to talk about during lunch. We bought some local produce and continued on our journey.
