Of course, no visit to Port MacDonnell would be complete without experiencing its coastline. We drove along the scenic route, eventually pulling over to admire the views from one of the many vantage points. The coastline is rugged and dramatic, with rocky cliffs meeting the turquoise waters of the Southern Ocean. We could have spent hours simply watching the waves crash against the shore. The turquoise water was unbelievably clear.

The colours of the ocean were particularly striking. The water was an incredible shade of turquoise, contrasting beautifully with the dark rocks and the green vegetation along the clifftops.
