Inverloch, Victoria, greeted us with a calm, refreshing air. After the past few days of travel, the quiet coastal town was a welcome change. We decided to take a stroll along the beach.

The tide was low, revealing a wide expanse of sand. The beach looks like a perfect spot for a morning walk, if one were so inclined. The water was calm and crystal clear.
Venturing into the town, we noticed a particularly cheerful confectionery shop.

It practically screamed 'Treat Time', and who are we to deny such a direct invitation? They stocked lollies from all over the world. After our little detour into the candy shop, we headed to a local bakery, enticed by the promise of "Prize Winning Pastries".

We managed to nab a couple of items to sample from the bakery. Our first purchase was a rather substantial meat pie.

The crust was flaky and golden brown. The pie was stuffed with a savoury filling. After the pie, we tackled the cream bun.

It was coated in almond flakes and powdered sugar, practically overflowing with vanilla custard.
With our bellies full of pastry and sweet treats, we decided to head back. February in Inverloch has been delightful. We recommend it highly.
