Merimbula, New South Wales, greeted us with a charm that’s hard to ignore. The town has a relaxed atmosphere that quickly seeped into our bones. It's a spot that invites you to slow down and simply enjoy the scenery. And the scenery, well, it's something else.
We spent a good portion of the morning simply wandering along the foreshore, taking in the views of Merimbula Bay. The water was a mesmerizing shade of turquoise.

It was so clear, we could easily see the sandy bottom. The air was crisp and clean, a welcome change from some of the dustier stretches we’ve encountered on our travels.
There's something inherently captivating about watching boats bobbing in the water.

We noticed a particularly impressive vessel moored at a nearby jetty. It was a substantial piece of equipment, purpose-built. Judging by the activity around it, it must be actively in service.

We continued our leisurely stroll, eventually finding ourselves on a secluded little beach, where an old, weathered tree trunk lay washed up on the shore.

It had clearly been there for quite some time, bleached white by the sun and smoothed by the relentless action of the waves. It struck us as a rather poignant reminder of the power of nature. The beaches are truly spectacular. We took a panoramic view of the shoreline to fully soak in the scenery.

Merimbula is the kind of place where one could easily lose track of time, and we certainly did our best to comply. We enjoyed every last moment of it.
