Bournda, New South Wales, greeted us with a tranquility that was immediately apparent. The region exudes a peaceful charm. We needed a day to slow down, and this felt like the perfect spot.
The Bournda Lagoon reflected the clear blue sky like a polished mirror. The air was still, the only sound being the gentle lapping of water against the sandy shore.

The water was so inviting. It’s a beautiful thing to just stand still and take in the view.
The campground itself was surprisingly quiet.

A thick carpet of leaves covered parts of the grassy area. The shade from the tall trees offered a welcome respite from the summer sun. The scattered sunlight dappled the forest floor, creating an appealing scene. It’s a great spot.
The water’s edge beckoned us. One of us decided to test the temperature of the lagoon, and waded in up to our knees. Refreshing, but not exactly bathwater.

Still, it was a beautiful way to spend an afternoon in Bournda, New South Wales, reflecting on how lucky we are to see all these places. We consider ourselves very fortunate.
