The anticipation of our arrival was high, as the South Coast region is known for its exceptional beauty.
Batesman Bay itself proved a pleasant stop, providing us with some stunning views. The rugged coastline stretching towards the horizon was worth the stop alone. The turquoise waters crashed against the black rocks, creating a mesmerizing contrast.
It’s a view that lingers in the mind long after you leave.
We were on the hunt for the perfect vantage point to take in the full splendour of the coastline, and we found just that. We parked and took a short walk to a purpose-built viewing platform that offered panoramic views of the ocean. The clear blue waters and the rocky outcrops were a photographer's dream.
What a magnificent vista!
Having soaked in the coastal views, we decided to indulge in a bit of afternoon tea. Finding a delightful-looking patisserie, we settled in at an outdoor table, ordered a selection of pastries, and enjoyed a much-needed sugar boost. There was a cream puff, almond tart, and a slice of apple pastry.
Delicious pastries are the perfect way to celebrate a good view.
