From Kirrabilli, we wandered across to Luna Park in Sydney on a rather pleasant day. The iconic face grinned down at the throngs of people, a somewhat unnerving but undeniably memorable welcome.

The park was bustling, a kaleidoscope of colour and noise that Amelia found absolutely captivating. The sheer scale of the place, the rides looming large against the Sydney sky, was quite something.

We braved a few of the more sedate attractions, mindful of our aging constitutions. Lisa particularly enjoyed what appears to be a Funny Land.

After the controlled chaos of Luna Park, we opted for a more tranquil mode of transport: a ferry back to Circular Quay. The Sydney Harbour views were, as always, spectacular, and the gentle rocking of the boat was a welcome respite.

The ferry offered a different perspective of the city, one that was both calming and impressive. It was the perfect end to a day of whimsical delights.
