After the lovely sights of Milton, we are settled in Braidwood, New South Wales. We must confess, our arrival wasn't met with sunshine and rainbows.

Rather, it was met with a rather persistent downpour. Braidwood, it seems, was determined to give us a truly authentic wet weather experience.
We found ourselves hunkered down, watching the rain sheet off the awning. Honestly, it was coming down in buckets. Even the grass was struggling to keep its head above water. We've seen our fair share of rain, but this was a particularly enthusiastic deluge.
It appears the local Braidwood flora are quite fond of this moisture.

The ground became less like solid earth and more like a sponge. We're confident that the local worm population is absolutely thriving.
Despite the less-than-ideal weather, we're keeping our spirits up. After all, even a rainy day in a new location is an adventure of sorts. Hopefully, the skies will clear soon, and we can properly explore Braidwood's other attractions. But for now, it's tea, books, and the soothing sound of rain – a forced, but not entirely unpleasant, day of rest.
