We found ourselves settling into the Berry Showground. It was a rather bustling place, even for a Saturday.

The showground was very active and clearly well-maintained. It has a very nice feel to it. We noted that it would be a good base for exploring the South Coast.

Once settled, we took a walk around the town of Berry, New South Wales. It is quite picturesque. The main street has a wonderful collection of historic buildings. The Wilson & Co store is a particularly impressive building, even if its current tenants are not exactly purveyors of agricultural supplies.

The town has a surprising number of interesting shops and businesses. We noted the Global Contact Bookstore – a bookshop specializing in travel guides and language books, apparently, a useful combination.

While Lisa was browsing a clothing boutique, Steve took a look around and was particularly taken by the footwear on display. We weren't in the market for new shoes ourselves but found the choices on display to be...interesting. One particularly colourful pair of shoes caught our eye. We aren't sure if one actually wears these, or just puts them on display, but they are something.

Not our style, but certainly colourful.
