After a quick bite at one of the local pubs, we made our way to the Carols in the Domain. The "local pub" bit is perhaps an understatement.

We opted for a couple of chicken parmigianas. Honestly, it’s hard to go past a good schnitzel when you’re travelling, and this one hit the spot. Lisa had hers plain

, while I opted for the full parmigiana treatment. A hearty lunch was exactly what we needed before braving the crowds.
The throng gathering at the Domain was impressive.

It's like the entire population of Sydney decided to celebrate Christmas together. The setup was quite the spectacle, with a massive stage dominating the landscape.

We found a spot, unloaded our chairs, and settled in for an evening of festive tunes.
The atmosphere was electric, with families, friends, and tourists all buzzing with excitement. There were people dressed up in all manner of costumes. One fellow, in particular, caught our eye; he was decked out as Willy Wonka.

You've got to admire the dedication.
Lisa even managed to capture a quick photo of herself, with the city skyline in the background.

The Domain's proximity to the CBD truly showcases Sydney's urban charm. The music was excellent, and the performances were top-notch. It was a truly memorable experience, and a great way to kick off the Christmas season in Sydney.
