Leaving the iconic sands of Bondi behind us, Lisa insisted that we make a detour on our way out of Sydney, New South Wales. She had become quite enamored with the idea of exploring the city's rock pools, and who are we to deny her simple pleasures?
We discovered a gem tucked away along the coastline. The air was crisp, and the sun shimmered on the water as we approached.

The pools were more impressive than we anticipated – natural indentations in the rock, filled with crystal-clear seawater, offering a refreshing alternative to the open ocean. Several people were enjoying a swim, and quite a few were stretched out on the rocks, soaking up the sun.
Lisa was, of course, in her element. She immediately began exploring the formations, the way the waves crashed against the rocks, and the hardy plant life clinging to the stone. We’ve seen plenty of beaches on our travels, but there's something undeniably captivating about these tidal pools.

The sheer number of people drawn to this relatively small area suggested we were onto something special, a true Sydney secret. It was the perfect way to bookend a wonderful few days exploring the city. We spent a pleasant afternoon simply observing, enjoying the panorama, and appreciating this unique slice of the Sydney coastline.
