Our travels brought us north, eventually leading us to the charming locale of Clifton, New South Wales. It was along the Pacific Highway that one of us achieved a long-held ambition: traversing the Sea Cliff Bridge. It had been on the bucket list for quite some time.
The engineering is impressive, to be sure. A lengthy viaduct hugging the coastline, it offers stunning vistas in every direction. What's particularly clever is the way it extends out over the ocean, minimising the impact on the surrounding cliffs and environment.

It's a far cry from the seemingly endless stretches of highway we've grown accustomed to.
Of course, such a magnificent feat of engineering doesn't come without its share of rubberneckers. We observed numerous vehicles pulling over to capture their own photographs. As far as we could tell, everyone else was as mesmerised by the bridge as we were.

While we might not normally get excited about a bridge, the sheer beauty of this structure, combined with its breathtaking coastal setting, made it a definite highlight of our time in Clifton.
