On our way to Yass, we made a stop in Boorowa for what we thought would be a quick lunch. Little did we know, this charming town would end up being one of the highlights of our trip.

Boorowa immediately struck us as meticulously maintained, with manicured gardens and a palpable sense of civic pride. We noticed blue tinsel adorning the main street's streetlights and hedges, adding a festive touch to the already picturesque scene.
One thing that really caught our eye was the collection of vibrantly decorated sheep sculptures dotted around town.

Each one was unique, showcasing the creativity and artistic spirit of the community. Some were adorned with floral patterns, while others featured Indigenous-inspired designs. It was a delightful surprise, a playful and unexpected display that brought a smile to our faces.
The architecture of Boorowa is also quite impressive. The courthouse, a grand old building with a yellow and white facade, stands proudly as a testament to the town's history.

The gardens surrounding it are immaculately kept, offering a peaceful oasis in the heart of town. As we walked along the brick-paved pathways, bordered by lush greenery, we appreciated the care and attention given to the public spaces.

Boorowa really is a town that takes pride in its appearance, and it shows.
What started as a simple lunch stop turned into a memorable experience. Boorowa is a town that is well worth a visit, offering a glimpse into the heart and soul of rural New South Wales. We definitely recommend adding it to your itinerary.
