Another day, another village. Our travels often lead us to unexpected places, and today was no exception. Glenbrook, New South Wales, situated at the foot of the Blue Mountains, presented itself as a perfect spot to stretch our legs and sample some local fare.

Glenbrook has a certain charm that's immediately apparent. The main street is lined with a pleasing mix of shops and cafes, all seemingly thriving despite the proximity to larger towns. We always appreciate a town that takes pride in its appearance, and Glenbrook certainly does. We noticed an inviting bench seat and planter box, clearly marking the town’s name.

Of course, no visit is complete without a little something to eat. We spotted a Continental Deli on the corner. The building was bustling with locals.

The aromas of cured meats and freshly baked bread were simply too tempting to resist, and we picked up a couple of rolls for a quick and satisfying lunch. It was a delicious reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are the simplest. Glenbrook provided a welcome respite on our journey.
