Following a spell of rain here in Katomba, New South Wales, we decided to venture out. We’d heard whispers that the local waterfalls were putting on quite a show, and those whispers were certainly not exaggerations. What were mere trickles a few days prior had transformed into truly spectacular cascades.
The main attraction, Wentworth Falls themselves, were thunderous. The water plummeted with such force that we were soaked just standing at the viewing platform. A thoroughly invigorating experience, to say the least! Even the smaller falls closer to town were flowing beautifully, creating a tranquil and picturesque scene.
The water tumbled over the rocks with a soothing sound, a perfect counterpoint to the drama of the main falls.
After all that fresh air and natural beauty, we felt a slight pang of guilt. We also felt that we deserved a reward for our hard work in admiring nature. So, we decided to indulge in a spot of "chocolate therapy" at Josophan's Fine Chocolates.
Their Christmas decorations were already up, adding a touch of festive cheer to the already enticing atmosphere.
Now, Lisa spotted something inside that truly caught her eye: a chocolate corset. Yes, you read that correctly. A corset made entirely of chocolate!
It was displayed in a glass case, looking far too beautiful to eat, although the thought certainly crossed our minds. Lisa joked she might buy it and wear it to the next caravan park social event. We're not entirely sure how practical that would be, especially in the heat, but it certainly made for a good laugh. The chocolate corset at Josophan's was the perfect ending to a perfect day in Wentworth Falls.
