Orange, New South Wales, certainly knows how to keep a traveler occupied. We started our day perusing the local markets, a pleasant way to spend the morning and stock up on some local produce.

The East Orange Producer’s Market was in full swing, promising fresh delights and, thankfully, Eftpos availability for us old-fashioned folk. We always appreciate a market that caters to the technologically challenged.

Later in the day, after a quiet afternoon, we found ourselves drawn to the sounds of a live band. Orange was hosting "Zest Fest", and the community was out in force to enjoy the music.

Now, we appreciate live music, but this particular performance was…spirited. Let’s just say our tinnitus was ringing louder than the lead guitar. The crowd seemed to be having a wonderful time, which is what truly matters, but we decided to retreat before our hearing aids spontaneously combusted. Some things are best enjoyed from a distance, and with a younger set of ears.
