After a quiet morning in Tocumwal, New South Wales, we decided to stretch our legs and stroll into town. The crisp air and bright sunshine made it a perfect day for exploring. It wasn't long before we stumbled upon a local treasure: a beautifully maintained, classic brick home. The intricate iron lacework along the veranda and the blooming flowers created a picture-perfect scene.

It's these unexpected sights that make travelling so rewarding.
Continuing our walk, we came across the Tocumwal Hotel, a grand old establishment dating back to 1861. The open courtyard, with its sturdy wooden picnic tables, looked like the ideal place to relax and enjoy a cold drink on a warmer day. We could almost imagine the stories these walls could tell.

The wide veranda offers welcome shade.
Finally, our destination: the local markets. A good crowd was milling about, browsing the various stalls offering everything from handmade crafts to fresh produce. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, a true reflection of the Tocumwal community. Lisa picked up some local honey, while I, Steve, found a rather fetching hat (which Lisa promptly vetoed. Apparently, my 'style' is not to be tampered with).

All in all, a pleasant morning in Tocumwal.
