Echuca, Victoria, proved to be a delightful step back in time, with a few modern pleasures sprinkled in for good measure.

We started our exploration with a rather impressive horse-drawn carriage, the Billabong Carriages service to be exact. It seems that people were definitely enjoying the ride and seeing the sites in style. The scale of it reminded us of how much the area embraced it's roots.
A short drive later, we found ourselves at a spot that combined two of life’s simple pleasures: vehicles and wine.

This particular establishment had an eclectic collection of items. There are wine barrels, obviously, but also a variety of signs and decorations, predominantly motorcycle-themed. A strange combination, but we certainly weren't complaining.
Lunch was calling, and we found ourselves drawn to the Beechworth Bakery.

It's a grand structure, certainly befitting of the Beechworth name. It appears to be quite popular, given the number of people dining inside and out. We secured a table outside and took in the atmosphere of the town.
The final course of action, of course, was tasting the goods!

I, of course, went directly to the sweets. Whereas Lisa decided to go savoury instead. A wonderful way to finish our day in Echuca.
