While most of our morning walks to date have been photographing the local architecture, this morning walk in the Shire of Northern Grampians, Victoria, was quite different. Instead of bricks and mortar, our focus turned to the local wildlife, and they didn't disappoint.

Venturing out early, the crisp air of the Grampians filled our lungs. We hadn't gone far when we spotted a kangaroo, upright and seemingly posing near a campsite. Upon closer inspection, it became apparent that she wasn't alone. A joey peeked cautiously from her pouch, equally curious about these strange visitors with cameras.

It was a true Australian scene, a reminder of the wild beauty that thrives even in areas frequented by humans.

Further along our walk, we came across a small creek winding its way through a forest of eucalyptus trees. The reflections on the water's surface created a mirror-like effect, doubling the density of the bushland.

As we continued, we found ourselves drawn to the narrow walking trails that led deeper into the bush. The rugged terrain of the Grampians became evident as we hiked. The gnarled trees and uneven paths spoke of a land shaped by time and the elements. We stumbled across an old fence, weathered and worn, adding a touch of rustic charm to the landscape.
