Our time in the Grampians has been quite restorative. Some days are action packed; others are not.

This was one of the latter. In fact, we took the opportunity to simply relax beside the fire. After a few days of activity, it was just what we needed.
Lisa, of course, took the lead in tending the flames. We have learned over the years that some jobs are best left to the experts.

We settled into a comfortable rhythm, enjoying the warmth and the serene views.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the fire took on a new life, dancing and crackling against the darkening sky. There's a certain magic to a campfire at night.

It's a focal point, a source of warmth and light, and a reminder of simpler times. It's hard to beat a nice fire under the stars.
Packing up is never our favorite activity, but it is a necessary evil. Knowing we will be moving on to new adventures makes it a bit more bearable. The promise of what lies ahead always seems to put a spring in our steps.

We will leave here with fond memories of our lakeside leisure in the Grampians, Victoria.
