Our time in the Grampians wasn't quite finished, not by a long shot. After a bit of a rest, we decided another dose of walking and exploring was in order. We were soon back up the hill, ready for more.

The signposts clearly indicated the direction of adventure – Venus Baths, Pinnacle, Wonderland Carpark – so we decided to head towards Pinnacle, since we hadn't been there yet.
The landscape here in Halls Gap is just magnificent. The trails wind through bushland that gives way to stunning rock formations.

These weathered peaks stand testament to the ages. We saw many species of birds in this area.
Some of the rocks have an interesting orange hue.

We imagine the iron content must be extremely high here. The walking wasn't too strenuous, although there were some uphill sections that tested our resolve – particularly Lisa's.
The Venus Baths were a welcome sight and a testament to our decision to walk in this direction.

The water was cool and clear, trickling over smooth, pink-tinged rocks. A very pleasant spot indeed for a few photos.
A strategically placed bench afforded Lisa a well-deserved rest.

We often appreciate these thoughtfully placed spots. Sometimes it is just nice to sit and take it all in.
