After a day exploring the rugged beauty of the Grampians, we were more than ready to relax back in camp. Of course, relaxation, for us, often involves preparing a decent meal. We decided on a classic camp oven dinner, and the aroma started drawing in an audience.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the landscape, we noticed we weren't alone. Now, we're used to the occasional curious kangaroo, but this was something different. First, it was a couple of galahs, eyeing our vegetables with keen interest, followed by a variety of other small critters. We even spotted a decent-sized lizard sunning itself near our campsite.

We always appreciate sharing our space, but we drew the line at sharing the dinner. They could have the scraps, of course, but the roast was ours! It certainly made for an entertaining evening as we enjoyed our well-earned feast under the vast, star-studded Victorian sky.
