It is rather pleasant waking up here in the Shire of Northern Grampians, Victoria. The mornings here are the sort we could certainly get used to. After the long drive across the Nullarbor, it was a welcome change to simply sit in one spot for a spell.

We find ourselves drawn to the water’s edge. The stillness is remarkable. We it is easy to see the allure of a crackling fire and the lake at your doorstep.
The landscape here is nothing short of captivating. The subtle shift in colour as dawn breaks is rather stunning. Even the skeletal trees standing within the lake add an element of stark beauty. It’s a scene that demands contemplation, a welcome contrast to the blur of the highway. We wouldn't mind spending more time near this remarkable lake.
