We’ve found ourselves setting up camp in the Shire of Northern Grampians, Victoria. Specifically, we decided to make this our base camp for a few days while we explore the area around Halls Gap. It seemed a logical choice, central to many of the attractions we wanted to see.
The scenery, even from our temporary perch, is quite captivating. Halls Gap itself, nestled in the heart of the Grampians National Park, provides a stunning backdrop.

We can see the wind whipping up whitecaps on the water, some skeletal trees in the lake looking like sculptures, and a sign with rules. We’re not ones for water sports these days, but it's a lovely view nonetheless.
We are hoping to explore the walks and lookouts that Halls Gap offers. We may even climb one of the peaks to get a view over the whole Shire of Northern Grampians! We plan to share our findings as we slowly explore the area. So far, we have seen some great things!
