We’ve decided to make this area our camp for the next few days. The allure? The mighty Murray River, in Berri, South Australia of course. It's a lifeline for so much of this country, and a good place to drop anchor and decompress.

The riverbanks here are lined with majestic gums, their limbs reaching out as if to embrace the water. The light dances across the water's surface, creating a shimmering spectacle that’s mesmerizing. It’s the kind of place that instantly lowers your blood pressure. We spent a good hour just watching the river flow by.

We secured what we consider a prime spot—plenty of shade, level ground, and within easy reach of the river. We even managed to snag a spot with a picturesque view through the trees. We swear the kookaburras are singing a welcome song to us, or maybe they're just laughing at our attempts to set up the awning. Either way, we are enjoying ourselves.

Our temporary Berri home, nestled among the gums, provides ample space to unwind.

This is what it is all about, a spot where we can settle in and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Australian bush. Now if you will excuse us, we're off to find some shade.
