Our journey led us to the port town of Wallaroo, South Australia. We were hoping to catch the silo art light show, a spectacle we'd heard much about. Sadly, the weather had other ideas. A proper gale was whipping through the town. We quickly learned the wind in Wallaroo is not messing around.

We could see the impressive chimney standing tall near the coastline, but braving the elements for an outdoor light show seemed a bit ambitious, even for us.
Undeterred, we decided to salvage the afternoon. We ventured out for a coffee by the water, determined to appreciate Wallaroo's coastal charm despite the meteorological adversity.

The pier stretched out into the shimmering water, a tempting invitation to explore. However, the wind was having none of that.
We watched the waves crash against the shore, the sun glinting off the water. Even with the wind, it was undeniably picturesque.

Lisa found a sheltered spot on a bench to take a moment. The fresh sea air, even gale-force, is always invigorating.

Steve even managed to find a mostly wind-free picnic table, or at least that's what he claimed.
It was clear Wallaroo would be a lovely place if the wind ever decided to take a break. The town is certainly worth a visit and we will probably be back as Wallaroo is a key feature of the Copper Coast region.
