We were on the road again, making our way along the South Australian coast. A change of pace was in order, so we decided to take a short pit stop in Port Broughton. It proved to be a pleasant little detour.

The first thing that struck us was the Broughton Hotel. It's an impressive building, a grand old two-story structure. The architecture alone makes it worth a look, even if you're not in need of a cold drink or a meal. It definitely looks like it has seen its share of history.

Venturing closer to the coast, we found a small jetty with a few sailboats bobbing gently in the water. The water shimmered under the afternoon sun. It was quiet, peaceful, and just what we needed. A little slice of coastal life in South Australia.

We may not have stayed long in Port Broughton, but it gave us a nice breather before continuing onward on August 29th, 2024. Sometimes, it's the unexpected little stops along the way that provide the most charm.
