Our journey continues, and today we found ourselves in Wirrabara, South Australia, a small town making a big statement through art.

The dominant feature here is the silo art, a breathtaking mural painted by Matt Gorrick. It's a single artist's vision, a departure from some of the collaborative works we've seen elsewhere, and it feels very personal. We appreciate the dedication and focus it must have taken to create something of this scale, solo.

The mural features a local farmer, complete with hat and pick, and a beautiful scarlet robin perched nearby.

The realism is striking; you can see the years etched on the farmer's face, the detail in the feathers of the bird.

It's a moving tribute to the region's agricultural heritage.

It's certainly worth stopping by Wirrabara just to see this stunning piece.

We also took some time to stroll through the town, admiring the historic buildings, including the Institute, which, with its neat architecture and the adjacent war memorial, tells its own story of Wirrabara's past.
