Leaving our overnight stop, we were greeted by the familiar sight of Kimba's iconic pink and grey galah. It seems a requirement that you photograph this giant avian landmark every time you pass through.

We always find the price of fuel interesting, and it's nice to know that you can get fuel 24/7.

Next, we made a brief but necessary stop in Port Augusta. The practicalities of life on the road never cease.

A mountain of laundry had accumulated. While the washing machines whirred away, we stocked up on essential supplies.

With clean clothes and a full pantry, we set off toward Quorn. Along the way, we found a convenient roadside stop, offering panoramic views of the approaching Flinders Ranges.

As we neared Quorn, we saw the beautiful landscape of the Flinders Ranges.

We chose a spot just outside of Quorn, within the Flinders Ranges Council area, to settle in for the evening. The landscape is ruggedly beautiful.

It's not a bad place to enjoy a sundowner.

As evening descended, we settled in with a crackling campfire. It's a welcome respite to sit by the fire and contemplate the plans we have for exploring the Flinders Ranges.
