After disembarking in Devonport, Tasmania, and settling into the caravan park, we decided a walk was in order. The air held that unique Tasmanian freshness.

The promise of a new island to explore spurred us on.
Devonport's coastal charm was immediately apparent. A short stroll from our temporary home led us to a unique, stone-covered beach. Gone were the golden sands we were accustomed to back in Western Australia; instead, smooth, rounded pebbles stretched out toward the water. The tide was out, exposing a dark, seaweed-laden expanse. We are sure that this creates a very unique ecosystem.
We paused to appreciate the serene view. The morning light painted the sky in subtle hues of blue and grey, casting a gentle glow over the quiet scene. A large piece of driftwood lay on the beach, weathered and worn by the elements, a silent testament to the forces of nature that shape this coastline.

It’s these little details that make the journey worthwhile, don’t you think?
