We were en route and found ourselves looking for a suitable spot to break for lunch. A small sign pointing towards Tungkillo caught our eye, suggesting a detour that promised a respite from the road. We decided to take it.
Upon entering the small town, we were immediately struck by its peaceful atmosphere. It seemed as if time slowed down in Tungkillo.

We found a quiet park area, ideal for our midday break, with the welcoming shade of mature trees. The air was still and the only sounds were those of nature.
As we prepared our lunch, we noticed a small war memorial in the park. After eating, we took a few moments to wander over for a closer look. The memorial was surrounded by meticulously kept gardens, a testament to the community's respect for those who served.

It was a simple yet poignant reminder of the sacrifices made. The monument stands as a silent sentinel in the heart of Tungkillo. It offered us a moment of quiet contemplation before continuing our journey. Tungkillo, though small, left a lasting impression.
