Our exploration began with a visit to a truly impressive building.

The architecture of the old Government building is quite something to behold, and the surrounding parkland provides a lovely space for reflection. We noticed the statue in the garden and pondered on its history for a good while.
Further along, we discovered a slice of Nepal nestled in South Brisbane.

The Nepalese Pagoda is a striking structure, intricate and peaceful. It's a fitting reminder of the cultural diversity that makes Australia so fascinating.
The paths in South Brisbane Parklands are adorned with vibrant displays.

Walking under arches overflowing with bougainvillea was a particular delight. It's the sort of thing that makes a simple stroll feel quite special.
We were surprised to find a beach in the middle of a city.

The South Bank Parklands lagoon is a popular spot, and it's easy to see why. The weather was warm, though not quite warm enough for us to take a dip with the other residents.
A walk along the Brisbane River offered excellent views of the city skyline.

We watched the ferries glide past and soaked in the ambiance. South Brisbane has a relaxed, vibrant atmosphere that we found very appealing.
