After a rather abrupt return to Perth and some necessary appointments, we were back in Queensland. Our journey resumed in South Brisbane, where we settled into a hotel for a few days of rest and re-planning before rejoining our caravan and the lovely company we'd left behind. Sometimes, the best adventures are the ones that involve a comfortable bed and room service, at least for a little while.
The hotel room offered a rather impressive view.

From our vantage point, the city sprawled out, a tapestry of buildings both old and new. We could even make out the train lines snaking through the urban landscape, a constant reminder of the city's pulse.
Our accommodation was a blend of the modern and the slightly quirky.

The balcony, with its artificial greenery and bicycle-themed décor, was certainly…unique. We appreciate the commitment to outdoor living, even indoors. It served as a pleasant space to enjoy our morning coffee, a small luxury we were happy to indulge in.
Taking a stroll around South Brisbane, we encountered some rather interesting public art.

These enormous, geometrically patterned spheres outside a grand building, quite possibly a government structure, made for a striking visual. The wet pavement only amplified the metal's reflective quality, creating a surreal and somewhat imposing scene.
Further on, another cluster of these metallic orbs dotted a public square.

A small child, oblivious to the artistic merit or possible existential commentary of the sculptures, was enjoying the open space. It's a nice reminder that art, at its best, is there for everyone. And that even large spheres can be fun to run around.
