At the rally in Maryborough, we felt obligated to attend the quiz night. Never ones to shy away from a bit of competition, we signed up, though our chances were arguably diminished by the local ringer teams. The hall was a hive of activity, with tables adorned in bright colours, a telltale sign of amateur event planning.

We were also keen to test out our new glasses, fresh from the factory. After all, what better environment to assess optical clarity than under the slightly harsh fluorescent lighting of a crowded hall? The new glasses were a noticeable improvement, though whether they enhanced our trivia skills remains debatable.
Of course, a good quiz night needs a suitable beverage. A touch of ice, a splash of local brew; the perfect complement to a challenging set of questions. It seemed the 'Rum' was being served freely, it seemed to be a requirement for the quiz participants. We are not complain, as long as it assists with the answers.
Speaking of beverage choices, it seemed like everyone at our table had the same idea. Perhaps it was the local climate that influenced our decisions, or maybe it was simply a shared appreciation for quality spirits. Either way, we were not alone in our choice.

The night was filled with laughter, close calls, and the occasional groans as we missed yet another answer. While we didn't win, we certainly had a memorable evening in Maryborough.
