We must confess, Keppel Sands in Queensland is rapidly ascending our list of favourite places. There’s a certain tranquillity that settles over the area, a feeling of utter relaxation that's difficult to describe, but easy to experience.
The sunrises alone are worth the trip. We watched the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and gold. The way the light reflects on the water is just spectacular, a perfect end to any day.
From the high vantage points, you can see how the town is laid out, straddling the coast and giving almost every home a water view.
The long stretches of beach are perfect for a morning stroll, and the gentle sound of the waves is a constant, soothing presence. We've found the locals friendly, too, always ready with a wave and a smile. It's a place where time seems to slow down, and the worries of the world fade away.
This morning, we were up early to catch the sunrise, and it did not disappoint. The colours were vibrant, and the light danced on the waves, creating a breathtaking spectacle. It's moments like these that remind us why we love to travel, to see the beauty that our country has to offer.
It's safe to say that Keppel Sands has captured our hearts.
