Our travels in Queensland brought us inland, to the misty heights of Eungella. We'd heard tell of stunning views and a chance to escape the coastal humidity, and Eungella certainly delivered. The drive up the range was, shall we say, engaging, and we were rewarded with a panorama that stretched for what felt like half of Queensland.

The vista from the top was simply breathtaking. The vast Pioneer Valley lay spread before us, a patchwork of green fields and winding rivers, all framed by the imposing mountain ranges. It's a reminder of the sheer scale of this country, and we spent a good while just soaking it all in. The air was crisp and clean, a welcome change from the stickiness we'd become accustomed to on the coast.
Venturing further into Eungella, we found a quiet charm that belied its stunning natural surroundings. It is a small, welcoming town that’s proud of its history. The Eungella Recreation Hall caught our eye – a solid, timber building that speaks volumes about the community spirit of the area.

It’s a simple but elegant structure, hinting at dances, celebrations, and community gatherings from decades past. One can almost hear the echoes of laughter and music within its walls. It’s a testament to the enduring spirit of rural Queensland.
