One could be forgiven for thinking Gargett might be just another blink-and-you'll-miss-it town. We found it a pleasant enough spot to stretch our legs and soak in a bit of local color.

We immediately noticed the Prince of Wales Hotel at a prominent intersection, looking like it has been a fixture in town for decades.
The main attraction, for us at least, was Celesta's Trading Post.

A treasure trove of second-hand antiques, collectibles, and bric-a-brac. We always enjoy these quirky sorts of establishments, and Celesta's did not disappoint. We browsed through the eclectic collection, imagining the stories behind each forgotten trinket. One could spend hours here.
Finding somewhere to rest our weary heads after our day of travelling was important. So we looked around for somewhere to spend the night.

This open field, with only a few others, was the perfect spot for us to settle down, enjoy some dinner, and relax after another day of seeing what Australia has to offer. The peace and quiet was just what we needed to recharge our batteries before moving on again.
