Following our fiery stay at Burdekin Farm, we decided a quiet day at camp was in order. A chance to recharge the proverbial batteries, and perhaps the literal ones too, depending on the sunshine.

We ventured out for a short walk in the morning, stretching our legs along the edge of what is a sugar cane field. It offered a rather expansive view of the surrounding area, even if the primary color was overwhelmingly green.

The afternoon brought visitors, which was rather nice. It's always good to see friendly faces, even if those faces happen to belong to four-legged creatures. It turned out that there were more campers in the area than we initially realised. We spent a pleasant couple of hours chatting and, of course, admiring the dogs. They seemed quite taken with each other, although we suspect the older one feigned indifference rather expertly.

All in all, it was a restful day, exactly what we needed before continuing our journey. Sometimes, the best travel days are the ones where you don't actually travel.
