Unfortunately, our idyllic time at Kurrimine Beach had to come to an end. It’s always a bit sad to leave a place where we've truly unwound, but the road calls.

On our way to Mission Beach, we decided to stop briefly in Tully. Now, Tully may not be on everyone’s must-see list, but it does boast one rather large… well, boot. We are, of course, referring to the Golden Gumboot.

Let's just say, it's certainly an attraction. And an amusing photo opportunity.

After our brief detour, we made it to our next camp: Bushveld Mission Beach.

This unique property is a passionfruit plantation run by a young family, Warwick and Michele. Their hospitality was genuine, and the opportunity to learn a bit about passionfruit farming was rather interesting. They also have a dog named JJ, who has the important job of greeting every camper.

He took his job very seriously.

The campground is quite lush. It's a welcome change from the more arid landscapes we often encounter. We were fortunate enough to experience a particularly stunning sunset while we were here

Tully is also home to a large sugar mill, so we made sure to take in the sights. Well, mostly the sights and smells of the area while we were visiting.

We will not be forgetting our time here anytime soon.
