We set our sights on finding a comfortable caravan park somewhere near Mission Beach. Finding suitable accommodation along the coast can be a bit of a game of chance. It seemed that taking a wrong turn might have cost us our chances of a spot in Mission Beach.

In our defence, many roads in this part of the country are not always well-marked, so we occasionally have to trust our instincts and the advice of locals. As fate would have it, our accidental detour led us to the quiet haven of Kurramine Beach.
Upon arrival, we spoke with the caretaker, who politely informed us that there were no available sites. Slightly disheartened, but ever resilient, we started to consider our next move. As we stood there mulling over our options, a stroke of pure luck intervened. One of the caravans suddenly pulled away, leaving a perfectly sized vacancy right there in front of us. Naturally, we seized the opportunity. We believe in taking what the road gives you, and in this instance, the road was offering a place to rest.
Little did we know, this impromptu decision to stay at Kurramine Beach would prove to be one of the most rewarding experiences of our travels. It turns out that the beauty of a place isn't just about the scenery, as stunning as it was.

It's about the people you meet along the way. During our stay, we forged unexpected friendships with some truly remarkable individuals. We shared stories, laughter, and even a few campfire meals. These connections enriched our journey in ways we never could have anticipated.
The tranquillity of Kurramine Beach, viewed from our accommodation, was something special.

The rustling of the trees was a soothing sound in the morning. This stop served as a gentle reminder that sometimes the most delightful experiences are found where we least expect them, and that a wrong turn can, occasionally, lead to the right place. It also served as a reminder that it's the relationships we build that truly define the adventure.
