Our journey continued, leading us to an experience that was, to put it mildly, a first. This whole trip seems to be turning into a series of firsts for us, doesn't it? We ended up camping in a rodeo field. Not a showground, mind you, but a paddock reserved solely for the thrilling spectacle of rodeo. It seems they take their rodeo quite seriously in this part of Queensland, and we’re considering catching an event before we move on. It would be a shame to miss out, considering our prime location.
Our site was in a wide-open paddock, providing us with plenty of space and uninterrupted views. It wasn't exactly manicured, but it was certainly expansive.

The isolation, combined with the clear Queensland air, made for a rather spectacular sunset.

Watching the sun dip below the horizon was a delightful way to cap off the day, a reminder of the simple pleasures that come with this lifestyle. It gave us a chance to relax and reflect on our adventures. We'll need to find somewhere to restock our supplies soon, but for now, we'll happily soak in the peace and quiet of our unusual campground.
